Are you looking for opportunities to volunteer?

Here are some ideas to help you get started!

  1. AARF
  • You must be at least 12 years of age to volunteer
  • They allow volunteers seven days a week
  • Time: 6:00 pm

  1. American Cancer Society
  • No specific age minimum
  • They allow volunteers on days of planned projects for example:  Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

  1.  American Heart Association
  • No specific age minimum
  • Volunteer at any time and any day
  • Go to their website to sign up and they will make a schedule to fit your needs
     
  1. Ashland Alliance
  • No specific age minimum
  • Volunteer at any time and any day but mainly need volunteers during the evening
  • Big event is the Winter Wonderland of Lights

13. Highlands Museum & Discovery Center

14.    Hope’s Place

  • You must be at least 18 years of age and go through a strict process to volunteer
  • They allow volunteers Monday – Friday
  • Times: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

15. King’s Daughter Medical Center

  • You must be 14 years of age by June 1
  • You must complete an application
  • Application must be completed and signed by the volunteer applicant and a parent/guardian and returned to the Volunteer Services Department
  •  Upon receipt of the application, Volunteer Services will send additional information to your parent/guardian with details of the application process
  •  All new teen volunteers accepted into the program, must be available to attend a mandatory orientation
  • Teens typically work one 4 hour shift per week, based upon the number of request we receive from various departments within the medical center. Teens accepted into the program are asked to commit to their assigned schedule and not miss more than one week.
