Beta Club

The purpose of Beta Club is to encourage effort and reward merit among students and to promote those qualities of character that contribute to good citizenship in the school community.
 
According to the BETA Club Constitution, only those students who – in the opinion of the administration of the school – are of worthy character, good mentality, creditable achievement and commendable attitude shall be eligible for membership in the National Junior BETA Club.
 
A Beta Club member must fulfill a grade point average of 3.5 or better, the requirements for membership in the National BETA Club, to be invited to join Boyd County Middle School Junior BETA Club. The grade point average of 3.5 or better must be maintained to remain a member in good standing.
 
Beta Club members are involved in several activities during the school year including volunteer projects, shopping for needy children, attending Broadway plays, attending Beta Convention in Louisville, visiting museums and other attractions that extend learning opportunities.
